The Cavalier Women's Soccer Team punched its ticket to the ACC Semifinals today, after calming the Miami Hurricanes in penalty kicks. Despite out-shooting Miami 23-4, a shootout was still needed, as both teams failed to score.
Virginia won 4-2 in the shootout, with Nikki Krzysik scoring the clinching goal in the fifth round. The tenth ranked and fourth seeded Cavaliers now advance to the semifinals, where they will meet top seeded North Carolina on Friday. Game time is set for 5:00pm.
