Several local high school athletes made their decisions today on where to further their careers at the college level.

Football and baseball stand out Kyle Long of Saint Anne's Belfield will take the baseball field at Florida State. The All-American set records at STAB in both batting average and slugging percentage. Long is currently a first baseman and pitcher with the Saints. He boasts a career ERA of 1.81 on the mound, and a .507 batting average.

Western Albemarle lacrosse star Max Pfeifer will head to Notre Dame next fall. The Warriors' stand out led the team in points and goals last season, and will aim for a state title in his final year at Western.

Fluvanna's Danielle Dike will head to Georgia Tech to take the softball field. Dike is a third baseman with the Flucos, and is expected to play outfield for the Yellow Jackets.
