Cavalier Men's Soccer Falls in ACC Quarterfinals

Jamie Melas scored for Boston College in the 64th minute for the game's only score, as the top seeded Eagles snuck by Virginia, 1-0, in the ACC quarterfinals. The Cavaliers' record falls to 11-7-2.

The first half ended in a scoreless tie, and Melas scored in the second half off of a corner kick. Boston College out-shot the Cavaliers, 15-5, on the afternoon.

With the loss, Virginia will await a berth to the NCAA Tournament. The sixth ranked and top seeded Eagles advance to the ACC semifinals.
