The Cavalier Women's Soccer Team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a 4-1 win over Loyola tonight at Klockner Stadium. The win improves Virginia's overall record to 12-3-6.

After a scoreless first half, the Cavs exploded for four second half goals. Nikki Krzysik got Virginia on the board first with a goal in the 51st minute. Two minute later, the Grayhounds tied the game, but Kelly Quinn put the Cavaliers ahead for good in the 56th minute with her seventh goal of the season.

Shannon Foley and Julia Falk each added a goal to give Virginia insurance. The Cavaliers ended up out-shooting Loyola 19-4 on the night.

Virginia now advances to face William and Mary in second round action. The Tribe downed Georgetown, 2-1, in first round play tonight. This will mark a rematch of Virginia and William and Mary's September 23rd match up. The Cavaliers won that game, 1-0, in double overtime. Sunday's second round contest will begin at 2:00.
