The Cavalier Men's Basketball Team knocked off the 17th ranked Arizona Wildcats on Saturday night, 75-72. The win marks the fourth consecutive time that Virginia has knocked off a team ranked in the top 25. It is also the second straight time that the Cavs have beaten a ranked team on the road, and their first ever win at Pac10 school.
This marked the final year of the current series between Arizona and Virginia, with the Cavaliers finishing 3-1, and the other two wins coming in Charlottesville. Last season, Virginia beat the Wildcats, 93-90, to open John Paul Jones Arena.
Sean Singletary scored 24 points with the flu in Saturday's win, while Jeff Jones added 15. The Cavaliers improved their record to 3-0, and return home to face Drexel tomorrow night. Tip-off is set for 8:00pm.
