The Monticello Football Team will take the field tomorrow night, looking to keep its season alive, as the Mustangs host Millbrook in the Region II title game. With a win, Monticello would host a state playoff game next weekend.
The Mustangs advanced to the championship match up by knocking off John Handley last Friday. Takeem Hedgeman rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns to fuel the Monticello win. They trailed 7-0 at the half, and scored all three touchdowns in the second half to go on to the 21-17 win.
The Pioneers knocked off Briar Woods in the other Region II semifinal last Friday. Millbrook snuck by with a 27-24 win to earn the right to face Monticello tomorrow night.
