Tyler Gumm is a 13-year old boy and a Cavalier fanatic. He has season tickets to UVa football and basketball games. But Tyler's seats do not matter, he sees the game through the radio call.
Tyler has been blind since birth and has never seen a single football play. But that didn't stop him from following the Cavaliers. He listens to Mac McDonald's call on the radio. He has gotten so good at understanding the play that he can listen to multiple games at the same time.
This past Saturday, Tyler got the chance to sit in the radio booth with his Mac McDonald, the voice of the Cavaliers and his mentor. Tyler would like to be a play-by-play announce just like McDonald. While many think that dream may be impossible, it's not. There is a blind PA announcer for a baseball team in Madison, South Dakota.
