Cavalier senior tight end Tom Santi is this year's Jim Tatum Award winner, as the ACC's top senior student athlete. Santi is the fourth Cavalier in history to be honored with the award.
Santi third all time in receiving among tight ends in Virginia history. He currently boasts 94 career receptions and 1,168 yards receiving. He became the fifth ever tight end in Cavalier history to eclipse the 1,000 yard mark.
The senior is also a star in the classroom, with a 3.35 grade point average as a sociology major.
Santi and the Cavaliers will find out their postseason bowl bid on Sunday.
