The Cavalier Football Team will take on Texas Tech in the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl on New Years Day in Jacksonville, Florida, and fans are getting the chance to get their tickets. 13,500 tickets have been made available to the University of Virginia, most of which the fans can get their hands on. The Cavalier Faithful have three easy ways to purchase tickets:
1. Online at www.virginiasports.com. Click on Bowl Central.
2. By phone at 1-800-542-UVA1.
3. In person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at Bryant Hall in Scott Stadium.
Tickets went on sale this morning at 9:00.
Fans that make the trip to the Sunshine State are bound to see a solid contest. Virginia enters with a 9-3 record, and set an NCAA record with five wins of two points or less. The Cavaliers are making a return to the postseason after a year hiatus.
Texas Tech hails from the Big XII Conference, and comes in with an 8-4 record, 4-4 in conference play. The Red Raiders boast one of the most powerful offenses in the nation, putting up 41.8 points and 537 yards of total offense per game.
