After eight days of rest, the Cavalier Men's Basketball Team will take the court at John Paul Jones Arena tomorrow to battle Syracuse. This marks the second game of Virginia's current six game homestand.
The Cavaliers and Orange have met on two other occasions, both in the NCAA Tournament, and split those respective match ups. Jim Boeheim is in his 32nd season as Syracuse's head coach, and boasts 755 career victories, good enough for 12th all time in Division I.
Sean Singletary enters averaging 20.4 points per game, and leads the ACC in assists with 6.86 per contest. Singletary has scored in double figures in 29 consecutive games, including 14 in Tuesday's win over Northwestern.
The Orange have five players averaging in double figures, none of whom are seniors. Freshman forward Donte Green leads the charge with an average of 18.9 points per game. Syracuse enters with a 5-2 record, and topped Tulane its last time out, 73-60.
Tip off for tomorrow night's contest is set for 7:30. After taking on the Orange, Virginia continues its homestand on Friday night with a contest against in-state foe Longwood.
