The Charlottesville Boys Basketball Team came from behind, opened up a big lead, and then ended up falling tonight, as the Black Knights returned from Harrisonburg on the losing end of a 77-73 score.
After falling behind by ten, the Knights stormed back, and took a seven point lead into halftime. Charlottesville opened up the lead to 12 in the third quarter, but the Blue Streaks came alive in the final quarter of play to rally back. Kevin Chandler tied up the score with two key foul shots, before putting the Streaks ahead for good with a jumper late in the game.
On the girls side, the Black Knights hoped to avenge Friday's loss to Handley, as they hosted the Judges tonight, but could not reverse the result. After gaining a slim first quarter lead, Charlottesville was unable to keep control, as Handley came back to take a 29-25 lead into halftime. The two teams exchanged buckets throughout the second half, with the Judges pulling away for the 56-47 win.
