The release of George Mitchell's report on steroids and illegal performance enhancing drugs in baseball is sweeping the baseball world, and that includes right here in Charlottesville. Cavalier head coach Brian O'Connor and former Virginia pitcher and current Tampa Bay Rays prospect Jeff Kamrath sat down with us today and gave us their thoughts on the report.

O'Connor has built the Cavaliers into one of the best programs in the ACC, and oversees many youth baseball camps as well. He says that steroids is an issue that is constantly addressed at all levels of the game.

Kamrath is currently in Tampa Bay's minor league system. The former Cavalier hurler says that, while he understands why some players might decide to use performance enhancing drugs, it's best to stay clear of them and play the right way.

We will have much more here on our web channel on the release of the Mitchell Report. Click on the above video link to hear from O'Connor and Kamrath.
