Dave Leitao has taken several measures to get his team refocused for the remainder of the season. Some would call them drastic, while others would call them necessary. Leitao has stripped the team of locker room privileges, and banned listening to music in the weight room, all in an effort to get his team back to where it needs to be.
Next up for Virginia are the Duke Blue Devils. This marked one of the season's best match ups last year, as Sean Singletary hit the game winner with one second remaining in overtime, as Virginia knocked off tenth ranked Duke at John Paul Jones Arena. This time around, the Blue Devils enter with only one loss, which came at the hands of Pittsburgh.
The Cavaliers enter at 10-3, and will look to pull off a considerable upset at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Virginia is coming off a 108-70 loss at Xavier, which prompted many of Leitao's actions. This marks the first of two games between these two teams this season, as Duke visits Charlottesville on March 5.
Virginia has five more days to prepare for Duke, and by the looks of their last few games, they will need every minute they can get. Prior to their embarrassing loss to the Musketeers, the Cavs struggled to pull off a 78-70 win against Hartford.
