Cavalier Women Prepare for Fourth Ranked Maryland

The Cavalier Women's Basketball Team goes for its eighth straight victory tomorrow night, as it welcomes Maryland to John Paul Jones Arena. Virginia will aim to snap a four game losing streak to its rivals from the north.

The Cavs enter the contest with a record of 13-4, 2-0 in ACC play. They have taken their last seven contests, including their first two conference games against Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. Currently, Virginia sits third in the ACC.

Maryland comes in as the fourth ranked team in the country with a 20-1 record, and was the first team in the nation to reach 20 wins. They are 4-0 in the ACC, and are coming off a 15 point win against Duke. The Terps are currently on a ten game winning streak.

Tip off for Friday's action is set for 7:00 at John Paul Jones Arena.
