Former Fork Union Military Academy standout Plaxico Burress is heading to Super Bowl 42. Burress played at FUMA in 1996 and went on to play college football at Michigan State, before becoming a first round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Burress has enjoyed his best season this year with the New York Giants. The Norfolk native helped lead the Giants to the Super Bowl after defeating the Green Bay Packers 23-20 in overtime Sunday Night. Burress' former coach at FUMA, John Shuman says it was emotional to see Plaxico get to this point. Burress will be playing in his first career Super Bowl and becomes one of 12 former FUMA football players to play on Super Sunday. Click the link above for the video.
