The Virginia Baseball team held it's sixth annual "Step Up to the Plate" event Saturday night. The fundraiser featured guest speaker Terry Francona. Francona is the manager for the 2007 World Series Champions Boston Red Sox. Virginia head coach Brian O'Connor said it was the largest crowd they ever had. More than 900 guests filled Memorial gym to hear Francona speak. Fans also recieved autographs from current player and could bid on silent auction items.
