Paulisha Kellum had a career high of 23 points, but it was not enough, as the Virginia women's basketball team fell at Maryland, 86-80. The loss drops the Cavaliers' ACC record to 5-2, with both losses coming at the hands of the Terrapins. Virginia is also 17-6 overall.

The first half was back and forth the entire way, featuring nine ties and nine lead changes, and the two teams went into halftime with Maryland leading 37-36. In the second, Virginia opened up an eight point lead of 59-51, before the Terps came back to take a 66-65 lead. Virginia kept the pressure on number four Maryland the entire way, but the Terps came away with the six point win.

Despite the loss, Virginia has only lost two of its last 13 games, both to Maryland. The Terrapins topped the Wahoos at John Paul Jones Arena back on January 18, 74-62.

Virginia gets right back at it on Sunday, as the Cavaliers welcome Florida State to Charlottesville. Tip off is set for 2:00.
