Charlottesville head football coach Garwin Deberry has retired, a source close to the program tells CBS19. Deberry has led the Black Knight program for 28 years, winning multiple Jefferson District titles, including three since 2000.

No word yet as to who Charlottesville will look to in order to replace Deberry's position. The Black Knights will return a key number of experienced veterans for 2008.
