Virginia and Georgia Tech will make up last night's postponed game on Monday, March 3, at the Yellow Jackets' Alexander Memorial Coliseum. The two teams' game that was orginally scheduled was postponed due to a leak in the roof at the aforementioned Thrillerdome, as water on the court made for unsafe playing conditions.
Both the Cavaliers and Yellow Jackets are looking to make late runs in so far disappointing seasons. Virginia is 2-9 in conferene play, while Georgia Tech is 4-6. The two teams met once earlier this season at John Paul Jones Arena, with the Yellow Jackets grabbing a 92-82 overtime victory. The last time Virginia played in Atlanta, it fell, 64-55.
The Cavaliers now look ahead to NC State, who visits Virginia on Sunday. Last season, the Wahoos swept the regular season series, only to be upset by the tenth seeded Wolfpack in the ACC quarterfinals. Tip off is set for 4:30.
