David Adams went 4-4 with two doubles and four RBI as the Cavalier baseball team got past Navy this afternoon, 11-5. The win improves Virginia's record to 13-2.

The Cavaliers jumped on the Midshipmen in the first inning. Adams hit a two run double, and Dan Grovatt added a two run home run in the frame, as Virginia took a 4-0 first inning lead. Navy rallied back to tied the game at four, before the Wahoos responded with a three run fourth that would prove to be more than Navy could handle.

Starting Pitcher Robert Poutier struggled a bit, giving up three earned runs in three innings of work, while striking out five. The Cavalier bullpen had a stellar afternoon, allowing just two hits in the final six innings.

Virginia returns to ACC play this weekend, as it travels to Duke for a three game set with the Blue Devils. Game one is scheduled for Friday at 3:00. Currently, both teams are 1-2 in ACC competition.
