After sneaking by Richmond in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational, the Cavalier men's basketball team sets its sites on Old Dominion in quarterfinal action on Monday. Tip off is set for 7:00 at John Paul Jones Arena.

This marks a battle of the top two seeds in the CBI's East Region. Virginia is 16-15, while the Monarchs enter at 18-15. Old Dominion got by Rider in opening round action, 68-65. This marks the first meeting between these in-state rivals since 1996. Virginia is 8-4 all time against their rivals from Norfolk.

Prior to semifinal action, the four teams who remain will be re-seeded, with home venues being decided. The finals will be a best of three series, with each team hosting at least one game.
