The number one ranked Cavalier men's lacrosse team puts its unblemished record on the line on Saturday, as Virginia travels to College Park to face the ninth ranked Maryland Terrapins. The contest marks the Wahoos' first ACC game of the 2008 season.

Virginia enters the contest with a 9-0 record, and is coming off an overtime win against Johns Hopkins this past Saturday. Maryland enters with a mark of 5-2, and upset fifth ranked North Carolina last Saturday. In each of Maryland's five wins, they posted double digits in scoring, while they failed to do so in each of their two losses.

Last season, these two squads met twice, with Virginia topping the Terrapins, 12-8, in regular season action at Klockner Stadium. In the ACC Tournament, the Cavaliers had a much tougher time with the Terps, but still came away with the 11-10 win.

Saturday's match up is set for noon at Byrd Stadium. Click on the above video link to hear head coach Dom Starsia's thoughts on taking on Maryland.
