Former Cavalier offensive lineman Branden Albert has done wonders for himself during the past two months. Albert has watched his NFL Draft stock soar faster than anyone in recent history, as he is now a projected top ten pick in this month's NFL Draft.
Albert met and worked out with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Monday and Tuesday, and has scheduled visits in Atlanta and Pittsburgh later this week. Next week, Albert will bounce all around the country, meeting with the Jets, Cowboys, Redskins, and Chiefs. Kansas City holds the fifth overall pick in the draft, and the NFL Network is reporting that they are prepared to use it on Albert, due to the club's need of an interior offensive lineman.
The NFL Draft is April 26-27 in New York City. Albert's former teammate, Chris Long, is expected to be a high pick as well. Several draft boards have Long going second overall to St. Louis.
