After taking two of three from Wake Forest this past weekend, the Cavalier baseball team gets right back to business on Tuesday. Virginia welcomes Georgetown to Davenport Field for a 6:00pm start, as the Wahoos look to tune up for Miami.
Georgetown comes in with a 14-23 record, and lost two of three to Cincinnati over the weekend. The Hoyas win against the Bearcats on Sunday snapped an eight game Big East losing streak. Virginia marks the only ACC opponent on their 2008 schedule.
As for the Cavaliers, they enter the match up with a 31-11 record, and have won seven of their last nine games. The only blemishes during that time frame have been an 8-3 loss to Coastal Carolina last Tuesday, and a 14-3 defeat against Wake Forest on Saturday.
Virginia is hoping for two solid performances in Tuesday's game and then again on Wednesday against William and Mary, as the Wahoos prepare to take on top ranked Miami this weekend. The Hurricanes took two of three from Florida State in a battle of the top two teams in the nation this past weekend.
First pitch for Tuesday's game against Georgetown is set for 6:00 at Davenport Field.
