Virginia Prepares for Big Series Up with Miami

The Virginia baseball team makes its way down to Coral Gables this weekend, where the Cavaliers will face Miami. The Hurricanes enter as the unanimous number one team in the country, and as the best team in the ACC.

Virginia just concluded a six game home stand, in which the Wahoos went 3-3. They fell in the final game of the home stand on Wednesday night, 6-5, to William and Mary. They are now 26-5 at Davenport Field this season, and 32-12 on the season. Virginia holds an ACC record of 13-8, and took two of three from Wake Forest last weekend.

Miami is 33-5 on the year, 17-2 in the ACC. Last weekend, they won two out of three against second ranked Florida State. Last season, Virginia took two of three from the Hurricanes at Davenport Field.

Game one of the series is set for Friday night at 7:00. Pat McAnaney will get the start.
