The Virginia women's lacrosse team will face off against Duke on Friday afternoon in the ACC Semifinals. The contest will be the first game of the day, and will begin at 3:00. The ACC Women's Lacrosse Tournament takes place at Scott Stadium.

The Blue Devils earned the right to play in the semifinals by topping Virginia Tech on Thursday afternoon, 19-6. Duke went on an 8-1 run to open up the second half to pull away from a pesky Hokie squad. The Blue Devils are the tournament's third seed.

The Cavaliers are the second seed in the event, after suffering only one conference loss on the season, and enjoyed a first round bye on Thursday. Virginia topped Duke in Durham during the regular season, 13-9. The Wahoos are 12-3 overall on the season.

The other semifinal of the day saw North Carolina top Boston College, 12-8. The Tar Heels advance to face top seeded Maryland in the second semifinal on Friday, which will face off at 5:30. The Championship game will be Sunday at 1:00.
