Meghan O'Malley and Jenny Hauser scored three goals each, as Virginia overcame a five goal deficit to top Duke, 10-9, in Friday's ACC Semifinal. With the win, the Cavaliers advance to face Maryland in Sunday's ACC Championship game. The Terrapins are the only conference team that Virginia lost to this season.
The Blue Devils exploded early, jumping out to a 5-0 lead, and taking an 8-3 lead into halftime. Virginia, however, had its best lacrosse in front of it, as it scored seven goals in the second half, and held Duke to just one score. O'Malley's goal on a restart put the Cavaliers in front for good, 10-9.
Maryland, meanwhile, advanced by topping fourth seed North Carolina, 6-4, in a low scoring affair. The top two seeds will meet in Sunday's final, which will take place at Scott Stadium at 1:00.
