Albemarle Boys Lacrosse Locks Up Commonwealth Title

Bernie Mowbray scored four goals and dished out an assist, as the Albemarle boys lacrosse team topped North Stafford, 15-8. With the victory, the Patriots win the Commonwealth District championship, and will host a Northwest Region playoff game next week.

In addition to Mowbray's solid performance, Brent Montgomery help pace Albemarle as well, scoring three goals and handing out three assists. Tonight's win marked the second game that the Patriots have reached double figures in goals, as they topped Colonial Forge in semifinal action on Wednesday, 12-5.
