The number one seeded Cavalier men's tennis team saw its season come to a sudden end on Monday, falling to fourth seeded Georgia, 4-3. The defending national champion Bulldogs oust Virginia in the semifinals for the second consecutive year, and advance to meet Texas in the championship match.

Virginia got out to a good start by winning the doubles point, but fell in four of the six singles matches. Somdev Devvarman and Ten Angelinos were the only two Cavaliers to pick up singles victories, as the Wahoos fell in upset fashion to the fourth seeded Bulldogs. The Cavaliers fall to 32-1 on the season.
