The Western Albemarle boys soccer team needed overtime, but topped Fluvanna, 3-2, to advance to the Jefferson District finals on Tuesday night. They will meet Orange, who knocked off Monticello, 4-2. The Warriors and Hornets will clash for the district crown on Thursday at 7:00 at Western Albemarle High School.

On the girls side, Charlottesville scored four unanswered goals to overtake Monticello, 4-1. The Mustangs jumped out to the 1-0 lead, but could not hold off a sequence of Black Knight goals. Charlottesville will meet Fluvanna to decide the district title, as the Flucos topped Western Albemarle, 1-0. That match is scheduled for Thursday at Western, as well.

High school baseball also held playoffs tonight. Albemarle snuck by North Stafford, 4-3, advancing to Thursday's Commonwealth District finals.

In Jefferson District action, Fluvanna topped Western Albemarle, while Louisa knocked off Orange in the district semifinals. The Lions and Flucos will meet on Thursday in Mineral for the Jefferson District title.
