The Orange boys soccer team overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to top Western Albemarle, 2-1. The win gives the Hornets a Jefferson District title. The Warriors' C.J. Marr scored the first goal of the game with 9:18 remaining in the first half, but Orange responded with two scores in the second, along with solid goalkeeping from Joe Morrison to keep Western at one goal.
On the girls side, Charlottesville had little trouble with Fluvanna, topping the Flucos, 5-1. The Black Knights take home the Jefferson District Championship.
In baseball action, Louisa topped Fluvanna, 7-5, to take home the Jefferson District title, while Albemarle topped Mountain View, 12-3. Andrew Bradley paced the Patriots, going 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBI. Cody Lewis went 2-for-3 with two RBI to help Albemarle as well.
