Five Cavalier pitchers combined to blanking Yale 10-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Davenport Field.
Freshman right-hander Josh Sborz made his first career start and picked up the win going 3.0 innings and striking out four Yale Bulldogs.
The Cavaliers received multi-hit games from Mike Papi, Reed Gragnani and Rob Bennie.
Virginia scored twice in the second inning and then four more times in the third to blow the game open.
Virginia returns to ACC action on Saturday when NC State comes to Charlottesville for a three-game series. First pitch on Saturday and Sunday is scheduled for 1 p.m., while Monday will be televised live on ESPNU and will commence at 7 p.m.
