Even though the Hoos took a beating at their last home game of the season, the loss did little to hurt Cavalier pride.

The Cavaliers started the day off with high hopes.

"UVa definitely winning or taking it to the end, 4th quarter, or end of 4th quarter," said one UVa fan.

"We have the better quarterback, the better offensive line, the better defense, we're going to win no question," said another UVa fan.

But by the time halftime rolled around, some Cavaliers began to have their doubts.

"It was humiliating at points, we ended up leaving the game at half time," said UVa fan Matt Semler.

When it was all said and done the Hokies came out victorious, beating the Cavaliers 52 to 14.

"I thought it would be a much better game, but you know you have to give it up to Virginia Tech," said UVa fan Marlin Brown. "They came out there and did what they needed to do, and just beat UVa in pretty much every facet of the game, so you know you just have to tip your hat to them."

Virginia Tech fan Andrea Tolbert said she was disappointed in the game.

"We thought the Cavaliers would have put up a bit more of a fight, but we won, so you know, it was a good day."

Despite the outcome Cavalier fans were sucking it up, saying no loss will affect the way they feel about their team.

"[It's] the way you feel about a child who's done something wrong," said Semler. "You still love them."

The Cavalier's next game is scheduled for November 26th at Miami.
