Albemarle Post 74 clubbed three home runs as a team, and held off a late charge by Courtland Post 55 Eagles to grab the 9-7 win in American Legion baseball action on Thursday night. It marks Albemarle's second straight win, as they improve to 5-2, and currently sit fourth in the District 12 Conference.

Vince Coles, Andrew Bradley, and Patrick Collins each hit home runs for Post 74, which moved above .500 in conference play at 3-2. Zach Hendrix had a solid outing on the mound, as well, to help Albemarle grab the victory. Post 55, meanwhile, falls to 3-2 on the season.

Albemarle Post 74 has hit a hot spell. Back on Tuesday, they knocked off Fluvanna by a 12-7 count to snap a two game losing streak. They'll head to Lexington for a tournament at VMI on Saturday and Sunday.
