The Orioles fell short in their attempt to win five straight games, falling to the Brewers Saturday night 3-2.
Milwaukee got on the board in the 1st thanks to an RBI groundout by Prince Fielder. Two innings later, the Brewers got a 2-run home run from Corey Hart to take a 3-0 lead. They would hold on to that lead until the 8th, when pinch hitter Oscar Salazar got the O's within one with a 2-run shot over the centerfield fence.
The Orioles had a shot to tie the game in the top of the 9th, but Jay Payton popped out with a man on second to end the game. The Birds will play the rubber game with the Brewers tomorrow afternoon in Milwaukee.
