The George Mason men's soccer team began Tuesday's game at Virginia with a zero in the loss column for the season -- and finished the game with a zero on the scoreboard.
The Cavaliers got goals from three different players to beat the Patriots 3-0 Tuesday night at Klöckner Stadium. UVa improved to 2-3-0 with the win, while the Patriots -- who were making their first visit to Charlottesville since the 2006 season -- fell to 4-1-1.
Ryan Zinkhan and Darius Madison each scored their first goal of the season for UVa, who rebounded from back-to-back road ACC losses to Clemson and Wake Forest. Brian James came off the bench to add his second goal of the season.
Jeff Gal picked up the win in net after making a pair of saves.
