Bordley Named VaSID State Player of the Year

UVA defender Claire Bordley has been named Virginia State Player of the Year by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.

Bordley was one of Virginia's most solid players on defense this past season. Some of her notable statistics include 35 ground balls, winning 29 draw controls and collecting 19 caused turnovers.

Bordley was a first team All-South Region and a first team All-ACC selection. She was also named to the ACC All-Tournament team.

Seven other UVA women's lacrosse players received All-State honors as well. Kendall McBrearty and Ashley McCulloch joined Bordley on the first team. Kaitlin Duff, Alice Hughey, Brittany Kalkstein, Megan O'Malley and Blair Weymouth received second team honors.
