Former Cavalier guard Sean Singletary continues to work out with the Sacramento Kings, as he takes aim at a spot on the club's 12 man roster. Singletary will get his first crack at competition this Saturday, as the Kings' summer league team opens up play in Las Vegas.
Singletary is one of seven guards and one of 13 rookies on the Sacramento's summer league roster. The team will open play in Las Vegas on Saturday against Toronto, kicking off a stretch of five games in eight days. The Kings' three draft picks, as well as several rookie free agents make up the team. One of those rookie free agents is former Virginia Tech guard Zabian Dowdell, who battled Singletary on multiple occasions during his career as a Hokie.
The former Cavalier is adjusting to life in the NBA, and will also need to adjust to a new number on his back. Singletary is listed as number seven on the Kings' roster. He is looking to follow in the footsteps of Jason Thompson, Sacramento's first round pick, who signed a multi-year contract on Tuesday.
