Less than a month away from kicking off preseason camp, Cavaliers head coach Al Groh is hard at work. The head of the Orange and Blue bench is about to begin his eighth season, and sat down with CBS19 on Wednesday.
Groh has been focusing hard on Southern California, but is quick to point out that the Cavaliers need to rebuild and establish themselves in the preseason before worrying about other teams. 18 starters from the Gator Bowl depth chart are no longer on the roster for one reason or another, and Groh will look to put the pieces of his team together come August.
The head coach looks to his running backs as a strong point, saying that it will be good competition for the starting job. He also says that all three quarterbacks that were in the hunt during the spring game, Peter Lalich, Scott Deke, and Marc Verica, are all still viable candidates for the starting spot.
