Tennis is not really a sport that many elementary school age kids take part in, but one program is making it easy for kids of all ages. It's called the Quickstart program and today Greer Elementary Summer School kids got to experience it first-hand.
The program accomodates small children by having them play on shorter courts with smaller rackets, balls with less pressure in them and lower nets. Today the kids took part in speed and agility drills, practiced hitting the ball over the net and some even got to play in a doubles match.
Organizers say that the goal is to get kids interested in taking up tennis long-term. Click the above link for the full story.
