The Jefferson Swim League will hold its 42nd annual championship meet this weekend at the UVa Aquatics and Fitness Center. Action begins Friday at 1:00, with two sessions taking place on both Friday and Saturday.

Fairview enters as the team to beat, as the Seahorses have won the last 17 league titles. Fairview got through its regular season schedule with a perfect record to win the Division I title, with Crozet hot on its heels. Looking to pull off the upset will be Division II champion Fry's Spring, along with Division III title winner Fluvanna. Each division race went down to the season's final week of regular season meets.

More than 2,500 swimmers will hit the water at UVa this weekend, not only looking for a title, but to have some fun, as well. The event typically will fill the seats at the venue, as one of the area's most popular summer programs brings its entire field of athletes.
