Sean Singletary could be on his way to Houston as part of the Sacramento Kings trade with the Rockets involving Ron Artest. Published reports indicate that the former Cavalier's name has been mentioned as a possibility.
According to the Sacramento Bee, Singletary and fellow Kings' second round pick Patrick Ewing Jr. could both be sent to Houston as part of the deal to keep the Kings under the luxury tax threshold of 71 million dollars. Sacramento will acquire point guard Bobby Jackson as part of the deal, and recently re-signed point guard Beno Udrih to a multi-year deal.
Singletary was drafted 42nd overall by Sacramento. He started at guard in all five games during a summer league session at the beginning of July in Las Vegas. He currently has a partially guaranteed contract with the Kings that is not fully guaranteed until the regular season begins.
