Fluvanna Looks to Improve in 2008

August 1, 2008

The Fluvanna Fluco football team had one of its roughest seasons last year, finishing its schedule 0-10. Off-the-field issues and injuries did not help the cause, as the Flucos look forward to a clean slate in 2008.

Head coach Joel Gray enters his fourth season at the head of the Fluvanna program. The head coach is excited when he looks down his roster and sees all the players he has returning. The Flucos have seven offensive starters to go along with six returning starters on defense. They also return All-Jefferson District kicker Ian Kurre.

While winless last season, the Flucos were in many games, and look to have some of the close ones go their way this year. They'll begin their schedule on Friday, August 29, at home, as they host Prince Edward.
