Former Orange County quarterback Bradley Starks is seeing time at wide receiver as West Virginia University continues its preseason camp. Starks, who is listed on the roster as a quarterback, is reportedly doing well at the position. He is still considered a back up to starting QB Pat White, but now may find himself catching passes from White in 2008.
After starting the spring game under center, Starks was moved to wide out during the contest, and was praised by offensive coordinator Jeff Mullen. According to the Mountaineers' website, the former Hornet will battle for a starting job this year at one of the receiver positions. In recent years, WVU has been mainly a running oriented offense.
Starks was an all-state performer while at Orange, and was Jefferson District Player of the Year in 2006.
