Western Albemarle Looks to Rebound in 2008

August 15, 2008

Western Albemarle football will look to overcome inexperience in 2008, as the Warriors return only six starters and eight seniors from last year's team, which finished 5-5 on the year.

Second year head coach Ed Pierce returns after taking over for the departed Steve Isaacs last season. Western actually had the chance to make the state playoffs last year entering the final game of the season, but lost a lopsided affair with Orange.

Pierce and the Warriors will look to fill holes mainly on the defensive line, in which nobody returns from last year. The Warriors have high hopes of being competitive in the Jefferson District. Click on the above video link to see a preview of the 2008 Western Albemarle Warriors.
