Jones Receives Contract Extension

Former Virginia player and coach Jeff Jones has received a contract extension from American University that will keep him in Washington D.C. through 2014.

Jones led the Eagles to the NCAA tournament last year for the first time as a Division one school. He played for Virginia from 1979-1982 and was the team's head coach from 1991-1998. He led the Cavaliers to five NCAA tournament appearances during his time in Charlottesville.
