The Virginia women's soccer team remained unbeaten on the season, tying Auburn 1-1 at the Georgia Nike Invitational.
Amanda Stewart scored her first career goal in the 43rd minute to give UVa a 1-0 halftime lead. The Cavaliers would hold on to that lead until the 87th minute, when Auburn's Gabi Rivera tied it up with a penalty kick. Virginia had a chance to win it in overtime, but Maggie Kistner's penalty kick was saved by Auburn goalie Allison Whitworth.
The Cavaliers return home this weekend to host the Virginia Nike Soccer Classic. They host William and Mary on Friday night.
