Virginia is preparing for its first road game of the 2008 season, as Al Groh and his team will head to Connecticut to battle the Huskies on Saturday night. The Cavaliers are looking to build on their first win of the season, which they picked up last Saturday.
These two teams have only met one other time, and that was last season at Scott Stadium. Chris Gould hit a field goal with 3:20 remaining on the clock, as Virginia won 17-16, handing the Huskies their first loss of the season, and winning their sixth straight game. This season, the two squads will battle on the Huskies home turf, where UConn has won nine straight games. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm, and the Cavs have won five straight night games.
Connecticut comes in with a 2-0 record, after wins over Hofstra and Temple. The Huskies' latest victory was a 12-6 overtime win against the Owls. Virginia enters the match up with a 1-1 mark.
