The Virginia women's soccer team capped off the weekend with a 2-1 win over Dartmouth in the Virginia Nike Soccer Classic Championship game.
The Cavaliers got on the board first when Kelly Quinn scored her fourth goal of the season. But moments later, Dartmouth's Myra Sack buried the equalizer, tying the game at 1-1.
Despite many scoring chances for both sides, the game would stay tied at 1 for most of the second half. With less than four minutes to go in the game though, Meghan Lenczyk got a feed from Lauren Alwine, beat her defender and beat the keeper for the eventual game-winner. Alwine was named the tournament MVP.
UVa improves to 6-0-1 on the season. The Cavaliers head to Morgantown next Sunday to take on West Virginia.
