The Cavalier football team will look to take advantage of having two weeks to prepare for Duke, as they look to put their 45-10 loss at Connecticut behind them. Virginia opens its conference schedule in Durham on September 27.
The Cavalier defense looks to improve, as Virginia gave up 506 of total yards this past Saturday. The Cavs average 419 yards of total defense on the season, a number they will look to bring down throughout the next few weeks. Virginia's offense also aims to bring up its numbers. After three games, the Wahoos are averaging just eleven points per game to go along with 233 yards of total offense. Their two losses have come by an average of 40 points.
The Blue Devils, however, could be just what the doctor ordered, as Virginia has won the last eight games against Duke. The Cavaliers won't be taking them lightly, as Duke has gotten out to a 2-1 start, clinching their first season with two wins or more since 2004.
Virginia and Duke will kickoff at Wallace Wade Stadium at noon on September 27.
